Kairos Outside is a special weekend retreat for women who have a relative or friend who is or has been incarcerated, or who have been incarcerated themselves. These women are shown Christ’s love and treated as Guests of Kairos Outside. A woman does not need to be a Christian to attend. Kairos Outside Weekends are drug, alcohol, and fragrance free. Transportation is available, and there is no cost to attend.

In Kansas, Kairos Outside Weekends are usually held twice a year, in April and September, at a retreat center. They last from Friday evening until Sunday afternoon. Upcoming Weekends are

Opportunities to Help
There are a variety of ways to help with a Kairos Outside Weekend. If you’d like to serve as part of a team, please complete and mail in the Team Application. Team members serve in a variety of ways for the entire weekend. Some are with the guests in various activities, and others work behind the scenes. There are four team meetings prior to the weekend, which team members are required to attend.
Use the Day Angel Application if you’d like to help behind the scenes for a few hours. The day angels do not have to attend the team meetings.
Fundraising Events
We raise funds to keep everything free for the guests who participate in the Weekends. Since the Weekends take place outside a prison, we have to provide food and lodging for our guests, plus other expenses.
Annual Sale
Find bargains and support our ministry at our annual sale of donated new and gently used items.

Fall Banquet
Don’t miss this opportunity to fellowship together with a meal and learn more about our ministry. There is no charge for the banquet, but a reservation is required, as seating is limited. Details to be announced later.
Paint Parties
Host a paint party to raise funds. The suggested donation is $30 per person (16″ x 20″ canvas). All proceeds go to Kansas Kairos Outside. For more information or to book your party, contact Pamela Turkle.
